With a mission to enhance economic, environmental, and societal benefits of clean and efficient energy use, the Okapi Team specializes in design, delivery, and evaluation of high-performance building programs throughout the US and conducts special products internationally. This includes the integration of sustainability, energy and water efficiency and renewable energy into general design practices and finding solutions that reduce the societal energy burden and carbon reduction.

Our clients are diverse as we support public and private companies ranging from private/public utilities, commercial developers and landowners, clients that strive for certifications with LEED and WELL, and education in code compliance and sustainability.

Okapi prides itself on providing a healthy work-life balance for our team. Our team is diverse with a supportive and inclusive culture. To ensure that all team members are supported, we have a daily “coffee call” each morning to cover any pressing issues, set priorities and confirm any support needed is addressed. In addition to our daily calls, we meet in person one day a week, creating continuity for a high performing working environment.

Okapi is a small but mighty team with an extended reach of business partnerships, sub-contractors and specialists for specified projects. Our compensation is in alignment with market rates and stable workloads creating job security that has proven to withstand most business disruptions, such as Covid-19. We also firmly believe in job skill enhancement and advancement through increased exposure of projects, programs and client engagement.
